Schumann 5th Harmonic
The fastest flutter of the four, quick enough that most listeners stop hearing separate beats and hear a roughness in the tone instead. Underneath it is the same steady low hum, one tone to each ear. The fifth resonance is measured near 33.8 Hz, the highest of the five modes usually quoted and still well below what any small speaker can reproduce.

The sound itself
One held tone per ear, unvarying across the loop, with nothing struck and nothing arriving. Where the 7.83 Hz fundamental gives a slow throb you could count along with, this one is past the point where hearing separates the beats, so the difference registers as texture in the tone. That is a limit of perception rather than a fault in the file.
Headphones are the whole trick. On speakers both ears hear both tones and the roughness mostly goes, leaving a plain low hum.
Choosing between the four harmonic files
They are far more alike than their names suggest. Measure the hum in each and you get 213, 215, 217 and 219 Hz for the second, third, fourth and fifth harmonics: six hertz from bottom to top, which nobody picks out by ear. Only the flutter speeds up as the named mode goes up, and that is the whole of the difference.
Pick by ear over a minute of listening. Nothing established says one mode suits one purpose, and any page telling you which harmonic is for what has made it up. The Schumann Fundamental at 7.83 Hz is the one with a genuinely different character, because its pulse is slow enough to follow.
The honest summary
Schumann resonances themselves are well-established geophysics: electromagnetic standing waves in the Earth–ionosphere cavity, driven by lightning, measured for decades. Everything attached to listening to a tone named after them is not. No clinical guideline or systematic review supports it, and the binaural-beat evidence reviewed on the fundamental’s page came out inconclusive.
