Pink Cloud Drift is heavy and enormous at the same time. Most of it sits low, so it has real weight underneath, and the two channels go their own way, so on headphones it surrounds you rather than coming from one place. Nothing in it swells or arrives. Headphones and proper speakers get the most out of this one; a phone gets very little.

Heavy, wide and level

By tone it belongs with the brown files rather than with anything most people would call pink: weight at the bottom, body in the middle, almost nothing on top. What sets it apart is the image. Its channels are all but independent, where the brown recordings here collapse to a single point.

It is also one of the steadiest files in the set, second only to Slow Brown Noise. Low peaks mean the level you set holds, which matters if you leave it running overnight.

Choosing between the two pink renders

Pink Wave Immersion is the other one, and the split is clean. That file spreads across the whole range and reaches well up into the bright end. This one is bottom-heavy with hardly anything above the middle. Same colour name, opposite halves of the range, and both are wide, so the choice comes down to tone rather than image.

Pink noise proper falls away steadily as pitch rises and is generated live here with no loop at all; these two are 32-second recordings.
